Ludlow Roofing on Both Banks of the River

Where We Work

Most of our jobs are in Ludlow and the Kentucky towns next door. That means Park Hills, Covington, Fort Mitchell, Villa Hills, Edgewood and Erlanger. These are short drives for us, so getting out for an estimate or coming back to check a repair after a hard rain is easy to fit in.

We also cross the river and head east. We take jobs in Newport and Fort Thomas, and over in Cincinnati and Cheviot too. If your town is not on this list, give us a call anyway. Tell us where you are and what you need, and we will give you a straight answer on whether we can do the job well.

What We See on Roofs Around Here

  • Older houses and steep roofs

A lot of homes in this area have decades on them, and some are close to a hundred years old. Many have steep pitches, more than one layer of old shingles, or plank boards under the roof instead of plywood. We look at what is under the shingles before we price anything, so the number on your estimate matches the roof you really have.

  • Freeze and thaw winters

Winters here swing above and below freezing over and over. Snow melts, runs to the cold eaves and freezes again. That is how ice dams form, gutters pull loose and water backs up under shingles. We put ice and water shield along the eaves on new roofs and check gutter hangers and pitch while we are up there.

  • Spring and summer storms

Strong winds lift and crease shingles, and hail can bruise them without leaving an obvious hole. Once the weather clears, we climb up, snap pictures of any creased tabs, soft spots or missing pieces, and go over each one with you at the kitchen table or in the driveway. If you file a claim, we explain how the insurance process usually goes. The adjuster decides what is covered, not us.

  • Permits on both sides of the river

Each city sets its own rules, and Kentucky and Ohio towns do not handle roofing permits the same way. We check with the city where your home is and pull the permit when one is required. You do not have to sort that out yourself.

  • Hills and tight lots

Plenty of streets here are steep, and driveways can be narrow with neighbors close on both sides. We plan where the dumpster and ladders go before the job starts and cover plants and walkways. Before we leave each evening, we sweep the driveway and roll a nail magnet across the lawn and beds.

Tell Us Where Your Home Is

Call and tell us your town and what is going on with your roof, gutters or siding. We will set a time to come out for a free estimate. From then on, you have one person to ask about the job.
